Noel Gordon Class of 2009 A Step Above: Coronado High School senior Noel Gordon wants to speak for a generation, and is positioning himself to do just that. Well-spoken, thoughtful and charismatic, his enthusiasm is infectous, his ambition inexorable. Mostly though, it's his compassion for the youth of our nation that is truly endearing. Emulating the people he admires most, Noel stives to lead by example, set high goals and work to achieve them. For having the courage to stand up for his convictions and the passion to help others do the same, Noel is - A Step Above. Goals & Aspirations: "I would like to graduate from high school with high honors and continue on to a great university to study law or international relations. I want to become a successful trial attorney and an activist for kids and young adults everywhere. Most importantly, I wish to grow more as a person and inspire others to do the same. Noel is Successful Because: "Family, friends and faith. My family has provided me with a solid foundation and helped nurture my talents. My friends keep me grounded and stand by me in victory and failure. Lastly, faith has helped me establish a core set of values that I can live by." Part of the Solution: " One key facing young adults today is the lack of emphasis put on education by the state and federal government. It is imperative that education always be the top priority because it is the key that will unlock countless doors. One way I can be part of the solution is by giving this problem the attention it deserves and gathering people behind the same goal." Tidbits of Wisdom: "I think it is important for young adults to be able to stand up for themselves and make their voices heard even if it seems like no one is willing to listen."
